Hi Susan!

I am a home school mom (son is a Senior this year, so our home school journey is nearly over). We used WTM and LOVED it! I am working my way through WEM. To say I am a fan would be an understatement.

I'm a calligrapher and make custom bookmarks. I've made one for you! I'd like to send it you you as a thank you for all that you and your books (and tapes!) have contributed to our home school experience.

You can contact me through my website, Hiraeth and I'll send it to you!

Ah... the mysteries of Publication Day. I wonder if us Europeans will get the chance to see The Art on the Public Grovel in our bookstores (needless to say, this is one book I most certainly AM going to read. Say read? Nah! I will wolf it down, ñam ñam ñam).

I obviously got low scores in reading comprehension in grade school. (Either that, or I should read blog posts carefully before making a comment!) I see that you addressed the availability in online stores. Wishing it will be a bestseller.... -Michael

Interestingly, it's available now at the regular U.S. Amazon.COM site (not just for pre-order). It lists the publication date as September 7. I know you'll be disappointed that I didn't wait until the Publication Day celebration, but I just ordered a copy. All the best!

Oh darn it, and here Urban Kid 1 and I just had a leisurely visit to our local Border's this afternoon. Had I checked here earlier, I could have scoured around for your book! Ah well, can't think of a better excuse to head back to the bookstore!

I wonder: why am I never fortunate enough to encounter those "Accidental early releases?" I would LOVE to make an early find on a much-anticipated book like yours! :)

I just found this interesting article in the New York Times this morning having to do with McCain's groveling. I thought of you immediately: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/04/us/politics/04mccain.html?pagewanted=1&_r=1

Got it out of our local library LAST WEEK - hubby grabbed ti to read on the commuter train so I haven't gotten to read it yet (unfair!). I told him he better post a good review at Amazon when he is done.
